Praça do Giraldo honors Geraldo Geraldes, the No-Fear, and witnessed several important moments in Portugal’s history – from the execution of Fernando, Duke of Bragança, in 1483, to the heated debates on agrarian reform in the 70’s. Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música and the acclaimed conductor, violinist and countertenor Dmitry Sinkovsky debut in the most iconic square of Évora featuring French dance music, Handel's celebrated Water Music and infectious Vivaldi melodies.
