Orquestra em Braga
Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto Casa da Música departs from the summer with another open-air concert at Braga's Praça do Município, facing some of the most emblematic buildings in local architecture – such as the City Hall and the University Library. Dance music is the main guest of this concert. The use of percussion in the Roman Carnival by Berlioz refers to a popular party, while Ponchielli transports us to an elegant ball where a waltz passes through varied environments. Across the ocean comes the music of the most famous bandoneonist in history and great figure of Argentine music, Astor Piazzolla, and also the score of Mason Bates that fuses an innovative orchestral writing with the rhythms of electronics and techno.
