The Francisco Tavares Proença JúniorMuseum, named after its founder, a noted archaeologist, who in 1910 gatheredhis collections in a public museum, is located in the former Episcopal Palaceof Castelo Branco, an iconic Baroque building. This will bethe setting for a concert offered to the public of the city, with OrquestraBarroca Casa da Música and the acclaimed conductor, violinist and countertenorDmitry Sinkovsky. The evening begins with a dance symphony by Rebel, composerof the French Baroque in the courts of Louis XIV and Louis XV. Handel'scelebrated Water Music takes us to England and the journey ends in Italywith infectious Vivaldi melodies.
